The Industry of Scholars in the Pursuit of Answers

Dog Poet Transmitting.......

May your noses always be cold and wet.

Although this article came out almost 20 years ago, not much has been added, the same people are discredited and the same people accredited; depending on what side of the fence you are on. The same dismissive mentions are made about Blavatsky and no one- from the academic spectrum- knows any more than they knew when they read all those books, learned all those ancient languages and studied all those artifacts. This brings me to my point of consideration. Why is it with all the scientific hypotheses and theoretical speculations that no one actually, definitively knows anything? That should be the biggest mystery of all, no? How come, with all the vast stretch of studies in Peru, Egypt, Mexico, China... you name it, there are so many places... how come no one knows anything verifiable and meaningful? All those huge landscape paintings... those huge stone globes that are cut to impossible tolerances, the pyramids with those blocks of hundreds of tons that the biggest cranes on Earth could hardly lift and some are simply too heavy. The Mayans, the Incas; rumored but still undiscovered Atlantis, Lemuria (Mu)... whatever... all those cave drawings of astronauts and partial texts about visitors from somewhere else... yadda... yadda... there is still nothing but speculation still... still... still. Isn't that the most compelling mystery of all these mysteries? There is no comprehensive certainty about anything. Woo Woo.

We've got so many saucer sightings and bizarre tales about abductions, wild tales about encounters, stories about grays; good aliens, bad aliens and so on... nada. Nada.

Now... I know that there are those who do know what happened, not only in all the aforementioned places but in places where the names are unknown to anyone but the few and have never even been mentioned, outside of obscure and completely unverifiable texts like 'The Urantia Book', 'Beelzebubs Tales to his Grandson' and various assorted ruminations and purported records. We got those ideas that are drawn from scholastic endeavor and we got those ideas that have been presented by those who have 'allegedly' made contact with sources who are the repositories of the records of the deep past. These are two different fields of inquiry and... do they jibe? Does anything jibe with anything else? Does anything completely interface with this here and that there? I find this to be the most peculiar thing about all of these peculiar things. It is more peculiar than all of these things put together.

Isn't the obvious answer that this information is intentionally concealed? Isn't it obvious that all these conflicting theories are all manipulated from an area of the invisible, whose job it is to do just that? Of course, you can just sub categorize and catalog what I've said, as yet one more attempt at a workable perspective but... mine isn't any particular theory or idea about what happened way back in the presently indefinable and unremembered. I don't have one and unless any of it plays into the immediate moment, or coming times... what good is any of it except self promotion at dinner parties and seminars? These things certainly do generate an economy.

It's a given with me that there are those who know all about these things and I know for a fact that there are those who possess siddhis, which allow them to see what was what... when, just as there are those who can access the Akashic Records but... what have we got? Of course there are quite a number of obscure tomes that are part of the occult area of knowledge. I've seen some of them and I've gotten general outlines about what happened in Atlantis; about the schism between the workers and the elite. I've read about the Lemurian Sun Disk and the Sun Disk of the Incas. It seems that Lemuria is supposedly connected to The Andes and... well, this is one of just too many reports of associations tied together about this, that and... the other thing.

Besides that we do not know what we don't know, I think I can say with a great deal of personal assurance that none of this matters and all of it is irrelevant to the possibilities of the moment and only right now makes any difference at all. It is our general lack of awareness, concerning the moment, which makes our lives far more meaningless than they should be. The past just repeats itself. If you want to know how it was at any time, all you have to do is look at how it is. In times of darkness, it is like it is now. In times of greater light, it was a lot better but we aren't really in a position to know how that was, unless we are one of those with the ability to access the records of those times and... for some reason, they aren't saying much. Why is that? Once you have eliminated every other possible explanation, the answer seems to be, has to be; "It's all under control" and that 'those who know do not tell'.

So... why is all of this hidden? It is so that we can come up against the cloud of unknowing and perform according to our beliefs, against all the challenges thrown at us; the tests, the difficulties, the suffering and the striving. WE HAVE TO TAKE SOME THINGS ON FAITH! If we knew everything that would screw up the drama. Don't ask me why but... I am sure that all of you can come up with theories and hypothesis (grin) about how and why it's all got to be the way it is and that just gives me more faith, personally speaking. Just about everything known and not known, gives me more faith. It's probably because I understand things through the lens of the great Hindu Tradition out of which all of the other faiths and teachings come. Everything is answered there; whether you like it or not. If you are a simple lover of the ineffable, it's all there. If you are possessed of luminous intelligence and a seeker after wisdom, it's all there. If you want to learn the truth of any other faith and need an objective comparative, it's all there. The only thing that's not all there is me and you.

For some people, the city streets, the buildings on them, the malls and restaurants, their school classrooms and their workspaces are what's real. The celebrities are real, the politicians are real but to me, as a famous fairy tale declares, "they're nothing but a pack of cards". For me, what is real is what I cannot see and it is what illuminates and defines what I can see, according to the perspective of a mind far deeper and more vast than mine which... shows me what is relevant for me to know; that leads me where I am meant to be led and which sustains me through all the changes it puts me through, in order to pass through all of the stages necessary for me to come to each one of an infinite progression of transformations, set up for my lasting benefit. Everyone else, can have everything else, for as long as it keeps their interest and attention.

I don't very much care what happened in Atlantis or anywhere else, unless it has a direct bearing on wherever I am now and if it does, I will be so informed of the pertinent details. There is nothing that will not be revealed to me if I need to know it. There is nothing I won't have if I'm meant to have it, or that will not be taken from me, if it is no longer important to my progress and none of these things mean anything, beyond the moment in which they are relevant, to a deeper awareness of the presence of the ineffable in my life. That's how I see it. Nothing is important but that I believe this. I must believe this. I must convince myself of this, to the exclusion of all opposition and contradiction.

If you or I cannot believe something because of the overpowering counter-argument of appearances, we have to get a hammer and hammer in the morning and hammer in the evening, all over our minds, until we have beaten down or beguiled the mind into submission. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't there and just because you can, doesn't mean it is.

You're either 'in it to win it' (cue Randy Jackson) or you're an uncommitted dilettante. You're serious or you're not serious. Of course, at some point, it will get serious all on its own. Pain and Suffering are the Great Educators in the Twilight Kingdom of the Unteachables.

The essence of the Grand Transmogrification is that it is not possible through individual effort. This is a cosmic failsafe. You can't storm the gates of Heaven. For all of the trepiditious specters of these uncertain times, the power and force of them are only relative to the inconsistencies of ones focus upon the pillar of inner light and they will remain trepiditious until that focus has reached the necessary fixity, upon the arrival of which, every specter will melt away like mist on a summer's morning.

I do not intentionally mean to disparage the knowledge or scholarship of anyone because I know what is irrelevant to me can well be highly relevant to another and though our destinies may be the same in some regards, they are also vastly different. There are many Hells and Heavens and they can be far apart from one another. There are a number of rays and some of them are not neighbors. What is germane to one individuals pursuits is of no relative importance to another. My only reason for the tone and texture of this posting is my concern for everyone dancing through the complexities of the hour. I see all knowledge based platforms as more than a little dangerous, because of the ease by which the practitioner can attribute importance to himself in the scheme of things; Nothing says it quite as well as this does;

"The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem. Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity. What profit hath a man of all his labor which he taketh under the sun? One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever. The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose. The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits. All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full: unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again. All things are full of labor; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing. The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us. There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after."

Everything I have been trying to say is in that quote. The penalties for pride and self importance are terrifying; to me anyway. So... I am a student of unlearning. There is knowledge and there is wisdom. Give me wisdom. There is Love and there is everything else. Give me Love and... Wisdom is the fruit of Love. Love contains everything of value within itself and nothing has value apart from it. I try and I fail. I try and I fail... but one day... one day I will succeed and so will you.

Dear Vis,

Wow! Absolute resonance. From my perspective, low as it is, God is more real than I am; in fact, the Ineffable is the only Reality and my chief desire is to bask in His indescribable Presence.

I love the book of Ecclesiastes though there is quite a bit in it that I do not yet understand, and while in this realm will probably never fully understand.

As you say, though, all I need do is cling to the Ineffable wherein resides all love, all wisdom, all power, all reality, all in all.

How many times have I thought about what you said here? And it became INTRINSIC some time in my 40s, and I've ben bitching that all life is, is speculation since then. I also find it beyond annoying. If I had one wish, it would be omniscience, but I wouldn't keep my mouth shut; so there's no way I'll get the remotest of that. People who do know too much and spread the truth get killed off anyway, don't they? At least in Western culture, they do. I'll also spend the rest of the time wondering what the Hell that damn vatican is sitting on, and what was destroyed in the libraries of Alexandria. (Not to mention what was the REAL reason Hypatia was killed.)

Well, I won't be able to find out any of it for as long as I'm alive, and I resent the bejeezus out of that fact. It also drives me nuts that central governments have done their best to make life so complicated and so much more miserable than it has to be, and how stupid the general humanity is for making the worst possible choices over and over again, but that's Kali Yuga for ya, huh?

Hence I take such delight in all falling apart right now and at least I have the right attitude. BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since it can't be avoided anyway, why not enjoy it? And quite frankly, for my own personal sake, I can't see how I need this anymore; though I must say my absence would make the lives of various other individuals of varying species quite inconvenient. Not that this will matter when my contract is up, though it would be nice for all concerned if we all got taken out at the same time.

Now about e-mailing our coordinates to Vlad Putin. . .gotta see if I can find time for that later. I found on NUKEMAP that if we got hit, the target point would be a half mile from where we are. I used to be able to run that in about 3 1/2 minutes, though now being the somewhat pudgy outta shape thing I have become, it would probably take me twice that. It's a building away from our favourite restaurant, so the plan would be if we hear news of the ICBMs coming in, we'd drive down ASAP, and hope the timing coincided with the buffet.

Well, or maybe we could order delivery if it didn't. Extra Tandoori chicken for the cats.

The Masons know and they don't share holy things with titillation seeking dogs. It will all be made a mockery of by the mainstream media and the alternative mainstream media, the idle minded bloggers.

These masonic temples aren't corrupted, they're outright counterfeits. The Pyramid at Giza and the Sphynx were made by the master builders. Enoch and Job and 144,000 Aryan savants. The Children of the Sun, their emblem was a winged orb.

There was a civilization in Egypt before Egypt was born. Before Ham got off the boat, even. They were refugees of sinking Atlantis. Their kings were called Khufu.

The great pyramid was Adam's tomb until Yahshua's resurrection, when a hole was mysteriously blown into the King's chamber and Adam came out alive. Before that, they didn't know there was a King's chamber.

George Washington had the plans of the Great Pyramid and the Sphynx, too. Plato learned at the Temple of On, between the feet of the Sphynx. So did Moses. Joseph married a daughter of The Children of the Sun.

Genesis 1:2
And the earth BECAME without without form and void;...

The first hanky panky work of the priestcraft that I know of.

SB 12.3.1: Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: Seeing the kings of this earth busy trying to conquer her, the earth herself laughed. She said: "Just see how these kings, who are actually playthings in the hands of death, are desiring to conquer me.

Great kings, who are actually just playthings of death, desire to subdue their six internal enemies — the five senses and the mind — and afterward they imagine they will go on to conquer the earth and all its oceans. Seeing their false hopes, the earth simply laughs, for eventually they all must leave this planet and go elsewhere, as have all the great kings and monarchs of the past.

Moreover, after usurping the earth or some part of it — which is actually unconquerable and must in every case be given up — fathers, sons, brothers, friends and relatives quarrel over it.

And not one shred of proof, just conjecture. I'm glad I don't know these things because that would mean I would have to assume they were true without verification and that, to me, is a dangerous gambit.

I read "Secret of the Andes" by "Brother Philip" 40 years ago - (aka George Hunt Williamson of Big Rock fame). That book and a dream vision I had after reading it inspired me to take off to South America for a year - (I used the inheritance that my grandmother left me). In the vision I was taken up on the shoulders of a great being and shown all of South America lying beneath - greens, browns and yellows - an incredible sight - I could see ruins of civilizations off Chile which had gone down in previous cataclysms. There was a huge glittering triangle up in the northern caribbean. I was told by an inner voice that this was somehow linked to the future. Anyway, certain significant things did happen when I was in S America. Like you my life through thick and thin has been in pursuit of the ineffable - nothing else has mattered. I lived in Hollywood afterwards - of all places - for 24 years. There was a reason for that too. "Secret of the Andes" opened a door for me - probably to do with the esoteric center changing from the Himalayas to the Andes. My invisible friends assure me despite outer events that all is well ........ Go well Brother Vis. Thanks for your inspiration. Peter

And Vis, today's was a post of posts. Saturated with multi-layered consciousness, honoring and embracing the mystery and how its very mysteriousness aids our faith and our evolution. I kinda love that we just don't know it all. And from you, another affirmation for my frig:

"I am a student of unlearning."

Thank you. Great reminder.

THere was an article a couple of years ago about small machined parts and gears embedded in coal which was carbon dated 100,000 years ago plus.

Huh? Have there been earlier civilisations on this planet eons ago. Civilisations that some how succumbed and left litle/no trace?
Or did some space junk fall out of the sky and embedd itself in coal 100,000+ yers ago?

Thank you for that, Buttons. I had been so pissed about the burning of a LIBRARY and so horrified about the manner of Hypatia's end that I had missed this portion. I will contemplate on it.

(I am presuming you are meaning deeper than Patriarchal jealousy of her, or Christian mob violence...)

Vis, I only partially agree with your view on knowledge (surprise! -grin-). Wisdom indeed trumps knowledge. (And love, etc.)

However, on my Ray, a thorough knowledge may open gateways to new wisdom shining through - often encompassing the prior knowledge, overfilling it, and progressing on to amazing, unlooked-for heights and depths. Not just intellectually, but spiritually.

With enough of these experiences and insights, I have a profound "We are all in this together" or "We are One" feeling-basis that forms the roots of how I love. It permeates, informs, and passes through me. (It kind of makes me 'unfit' to be in the present culture, but so be it. Maybe what I call the Turning will change that...)

I also have a 'practical' side in broad learning. Every spiritual experience must wend its way down to conscious-perception through an individual's life-experience. (That is why near-death-experiencers see their particular religious Saviors at the gateway, for example.) I intend to have enough varied 'source material' in my brain that there is an absolute minimum of over-simplification of the 'real' experience on the way down to my 'getting it' consciously. As a goal, anyway. (This is probably more about concepts or archetypes than various minutiae of life.) Less dangerous to myself and others, too, in drawing sub-optimal aha's. (Read: religious wars.) In this way, your brain is your friend.

Just my take...

Best Wishes,
Ray B.

Oh brother les, we don't need no steekin' Sun disc to meditate on - God is a spirit, and we, as Teilhard De Chardin said, are spiritual beings having a physical experience.
Which of course you know.
"The moment", as you say. As above, as below, as then, as now?
Time is an illusion, time is simultaneous.
But if you the seek the ineffable, what do you do when you find it/him/her?
How do you know? "I must convince myself of all this"...Faith is a decision, no?
A "student of unlearning", indeed.

Words, words, words

Maybe if we could remember our dreams answers would/could come from there? It can be a whole life discipline just to remember our own dreams-many of them 'teaching' dreams.

And big public funded monies are spent doing 'research' on dreams by the same bunch discovering ancient properties. A real concerted effort trying to convince everybody that dreams are no more than brain farts or electrical transmissions to be ignored. Ignorance is always being promoted by these types of scientists.

Whenever new discoveries are unearthed it is the 'scientists' group (usually public funded)that give the public rationale for what it is that has been found and who it previously belonged to.

Sometimes a "pipe is just a pipe" but sometimes that 'pipe' is not even a pipe.

When the objects have been found in the 'coal deposits-etc' they just disappear into the 'unknown mysteries' poop chute at the Smithsonian and other repositories of human discoveries.

"Folks are dumb where I come from, they aint had any learnin', but we're happy as can be doing what comes naturally..." from Annie Get Your Gun..

I believe that the Preacher also said (to paraphrase) that they who acquire great knowledge also acquire great sorrow. (Ecc 1:18)

Ambrose Bierce Said: "There is nothing knew under the Sun. But there are many things under the Sun that have yet to be discovered by men." (I like quotes.)

I don't know anything except that which is axiomatic. Advanced knowledge is not required for people to be happy and healthy. Things like hunting, fishing, growing a garden are what makes people happy. Simple things; things that build self reliance.

The only thing about the world that makes me sad is that so many of us never seem to get a break. I can handle death and pain. I can't handle remorse and despair.

I would like to add that it strikes me that the only reason there is such a thing as civilization is so that people can build monuments to Deities. The only reason for agriculture is so that people can have copious amounts of grains, fruits and potatoes in order to make alcoholic beverages.

But, what do I know? I love your writing because it takes my mind to different places. As Voltaire said, "The more I read the more I meditate. The more I meditate the more I realize I know absolutely nothing."

PK says, Les, if you actually read the Urantia book, which I'm guessing you briefly read, or incompletely read this book, than perhaps you wouldn't have nailed it to a cross next to that for sure book of babble about Beezlbub. Like Jesus, this book has been rejected by the Zio-commie elite, but I figure you seek the truth where ever it be found. Not trying to hit you on the head with it, or prove to you that it aint no channeled mumbo jumbo, but if you hadn't completely read and comprehended the contents of it, why judge it like the jews judged Jesus and had him put up on a cross, in violation of there own laws, and on the eve of there Holy of Holy days the Passover Sabbath? PK

Visible said...

PK...As far as I know I simply said the book isn't for me,like the color 'brown', 'rap music' and a few other things. I found the book tedious, boring... boring and more boring so that my eyelids became like cinderblocks whenever I was in the same room with it.

The way your comment is constructed it is to be supposed that you are a very strange person so, getting you to understand things like opinion, personal choice and similar does not seem too likely. I have no use for the book and that's how it is. I don't remember driving nails through it's cute little footies but, then again, I didn't notice that it had any.
