A Special Origami Christmas Message

Bear Poet Transmitting.......

Greetings my dear friends on this most wonderful day where those whose hearts are open can experience some small measure of the joy that is possible for us.

Yes, this is a vale of temporary sorrow and loss. None of us have passed through it unscathed but as Gibran once said (paraphrasing here). “Do not mourn for the sorrow from the pain of the knife that cuts into your heart because it only cuts deeper into the cup that holds your joy.”

Like many of you, I take this period of time at the end of one year and the beginning of another to reflect on my life over the previous year. I look to see where I could have done better, where I might have surprised myself too; where I made a mistake and where I didn't. It's been a good year for me overall. My fortunes have changed drastically and I am in a warm and loving environment and blessings of all sorts have been raining down, most especially those blessings of the spirit which outweigh all others in their importance.

I moved out of the crowded dysfunction of the East Coast into the more pristine desert of the American Southwest. It is really, really nice here. Binky and I have been having a glorious Christmas. Here you see us doing “Stand by Me” on the piano. Later we moved on to “Bring it on Home to Me.” from the inspired pen of the legendary Sam Cooke. There's also Donovan McNabb Jr with Binky and the Binkster knocking back a Guinness. Big up!

If you have seen the movie, “The Beaver” with Mel Gibson then you know what the Binkster and I are up to (grin). It runs a little more metaphysically empowered than that for us but it's still the same thing basically, a kind of simulacrum-doppelganger-spirit guide meme.

As you know, I am not a Christian per se. I do love Jesus Christ. He is my hero. As with all historical characters who appear to have no history and who are as much legend in the way we know them as they are real, the idea of Jesus Christ alone makes him real. I am not interested in the arguments of whether there was a real Jesus Christ or not. I have only to look at the countless tales of those saved out of the wreckage of a life, those transfigured, those illuminated and raised to a state of everlasting, conscious light filled presence, to know that something of the order of a Jesus Christ happened. Jesus Christ is the spirit of liberty over and freedom from material bondage. He is the triumphant one who was victorious over all things and he did it for me. He did it for me personally, just as he did it for you.

His blood is the living force that pumps through the veins of manifest life. I do believe this.

He bought and paid for the age we just lived through. Imagine that if you can. He took upon himself all the slings and arrows of existence, every brutish thought and act and melted them away into nothing in the cauldron of his vast and immeasurable heart. He changed everything and he will change you too, as time goes by. It is the love of the creator for each and every one of us, expressed through the incarnation and life of a truly beautiful soul. We cannot know how he labored, or for how long, to come to a place where he might perform what he did.

Whether you see the living and conscious light of the ineffable in manifest form in the personality of Jesus, or Krishna or any of the stream of avatars that have come here to share a glimpse of the wonders that lie ahead is not important. It happened and it will continue to happen.

I leave you with these words from the book of life;

From the Gospel of Mathew-
“Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

From the Gospel of Mark-
“And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”

and from the Gospel of Luke-
“And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.”

In whatever manner you find yourself capable of seeing it, whether it is through something like Descartes said, “I think therefore I am.” and you are able to understand that by extrapolation someone or something must have previously thought of you.

Or if you think like Kierkegaard; with his idea of fear and trembling, which is another way to talk about the kundalini.

If you see it purely scripturally or as a free thinker I care not a wit, so long as it opens your heart and you might experience the indwelling author of all things.

Merry Christmas, in the true spirit of the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas. Merry is too insignificant a word for the proper understanding of Christmas, or Christ consciousness. I hadn't stopped by in a while. Your words today are very uplifting and inspiring and TRUE! THANK YOU!!!

I want to thank you for taking the time on your Christmas to write this. I really appreciated it when I saw it and loved the Kierkegaard quotes. You're the best man and I really love Binky.

Like. I met an obscure avatar. Reverend Delorise Lucas, now on the Otherside. She was a promoter of Jesus, so he MUST have been real. Being around her was like a wonderful drug high. She was also a telepath. We took a class with her, wrote a single question on a piece of paper that she never saw, and she answered all our questions at the end of the class correctly. The answer she gave me has come to fruition, though not to the degree I would have liked; but hey! I'd be dangerous if it had. (Muahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaa.) I'd also have a nice long, furry striped prehensile tail and a nose hair coat if it had, but you can't always get what you want.

Just watching a two year's ago "Doctor Who Christmas Special". The Doctor has a great line:
"Do you know what the big problem is, in telling fantasy and reality apart? They're both ridiculous..."
