The Wonderland of the Subconscious

Dog Poet Transmitting

May your noses always detect duplicity.

This is the kind of thing The Cosmos is getting into these days. Nobody else has the motivation apparently and backdoor jujitsu, hammer-locks the investigative process. Zio-Ogre Schumer just opened the door for more of the total control that he and his associates are after. “Step by step and inch by inch” the last gasp of the dying empire, flops about like a beached shark. It's still dangerous though, as anyone who's had a certain kind of contact with sharkskin can tell you.

These unrelated events, like the false flag actions in Wisconsin and at the Egyptian border, have no direct bearing on this posting. They're just the usual events, marching to perdition, on the Highway to Hell. We, on the other hand, are marching where? Some kind of Uncertainty Principle comes in to play when the mind turns, however briefly to that consideration. Seriously, what did you think when you read that sentence? It's things like this, that come out of the blue and dance for an instant in our minds then disappears under the influence of the day to day surface mind.

The surface mind is very powerful. We have conferred an autonomy upon the surface mind that bars our access to the treasures buried deeper within us. I'm talking about the subconscious. The subconscious is like an ancient labyrinth. That means it also may contain a minotaur. Aside from that there are recessed niches, press panels and many a clever and curious device, known only to those who have managed to come across them by design or accident; as if anything like that could ever be considered an accident.

There are various mechanisms that have been tried and tested and proven true over the course of time. Yoga comes to mind. The Hermetic tradition comes to mind. The Tarot comes to mind and I suppose there are more avenues and vehicles. One has to find the one that works for them. It can make all the difference having something you're comfortable with. Think of it like different word processing or recording software. Some of them have a simplicity and ease. Some of them are technically complex. That's okay for a left brain individual but not so user friendly for a right brain (like me) kind of a guy. What I'm saying here is important. Choosing the wrong medium can be the difference between success and failure because you can't sync up with it and the degree of necessary ease in relation to resistance is not in your favor.

All of these systems cross reference. The parallels can be astonishing sometimes. I've used an example on this some long time ago, probably here. Let's pick 3 cards from The Major Arcana. Let's pick The Hanged Man, Death and The Star. The Star is Tzaddi. It means fishhook. The Hanged Man is Mem. It means water. Death is Nun, a fish. The function of The Star is meditation. So, consider this, by the process of meditation you can dip into the waters of your being an extract the fish of Death. Of course, you have to have the meditation process down and generally you need an observer in the background who is familiar with the eternal witness within you. That's all already in place in most cases, present company included.

This particular tradition uses what has been called the Hebrew alphabet. Both the alphabet and the origins of the Tarot are from another time and culture and they were appropriated by these people and not in a good way, as we have seen from the, “by their works ye shall know them” principle. There is a tale told about The Tarot coming out of a meeting in Fez, Morroco in the 12th century. Perhaps some of this is true in terms of a modern equivalent but the actual phenomena is timeless and goes way back. These are pictorial reflections of the archetypes that exist within us and which the activation of transforms us into gods. All this and more resides in the subconscious. The subconscious should be seen as a child and something that processes information in a pictorial way. Images, symbols, all things of this nature are intuitively understood by the subconscious. The intuition works through the subconscious. Think of the subconscious as a kind of sounding board. It vibrates and it resonates and is plastic and readily influenced by anything you impress upon it.

You impress things on your subconscious all the time. Every time you are wishful or desirous of something, it impresses the subconscious, which, according to the focus and intensity of that other portion of the mind, via visualization and creative imaging, guarantees the relative success of it all. People wonder why certain things don't happen. They know about people who have succeeded with the very thing under discussion. Why are they not succeeding? “Faith is the substance of things unseen”. Nothing is denied to us but we do deny ourselves and that is all because we don't know who we really are. If we knew who we are everything would be transformed; the devil would be changed into an angel of light at the given moment. “If you had the faith of a mustard seed” and so on and so on. It's all simply and elegantly explained in the scriptures, if we could just get over the cognitive dissonance broadcasting from Unclear Channel, WKALI. We look at things but not into them. We can only see as deeply into things as we can see into ourselves. It's a rule. It's a law. We use the laws of Nature and The Cosmos AGAINST ourselves. It comes from the telepathic invasion practiced on us when we were children and could not defend ourselves. That is another subconscious imprinting.

The resonance here is no mystery to me. We're all the same person, underneath the patina of the personality. Oh sure, we are as individual as a snowflake but there is a pervasive commonality and it accounts for why certain thoughts will have a wide ranging impact on diverse beings. It's why there are dreams of a certain type that happens around here and other things I leave unsaid. We'e all obsessed with knowing and it blocks us from the unknowing. The fundamental and visceral awareness of “I don't know is all we need”. If I know, then god is not permitted to. If I don't know, if we don't know, then the unchained god can mentate and perform through us. We imprison divinity and make war on Heaven by way of deception practiced upon ourselves and performed upon us by the servants of darkness. They have no real power, except what we confer upon them. It's time to reclaim what is ours.

People may or may not wonder why I like dogs. I like them precisely for the qualities certain cultures despise in them. Some people prefer cats, precisely because of their stubbornness, selfishness and independence. I happen to be a cat, precisely because of the self containment aspect. Selfishness is an acquired taste that I haven't acquired and most people come here because they aren't selfish either. Some are confused but... they know that.

When one of us leaves the house here, our companions from the Devic Realm arrange themselves near the front door. When one of us returns they go nuts, jump up and down. It means everything to them. Their love is real and unconditional. That's how I want to be but I'm not even as good at it as my dogs are. However, they do remind us. They show me every day how short I fall from the natural devotion that- for any of us- would insure the desired union with great speed. Most people go through their whole lives, going through the motions. The next thing you know, you're old and looking back. You don't look ahead anymore. Old is a state of mind and it has a power to it. The subconscious contains the keys of conscious immortality and a veritable cornucopia of gifts and blessings. I have proven this on my own to some degree so I can assure you it is real.

With God you have to be persistent and importunate. You have to bang on the door, or conversely, you can just answer the door, according to, “I stand at the door and knock”.

The subconscious is a wonderland. It's an ancient place. All of your former lifetimes are arranged next to each other like suits of clothes in a closet. The more recent ones have sharper features. The older ones are more blurred. It's possible some of them disappear entirely when all relevance is gone.

Anyway, I recommend fishing expeditions for those so inclined and bid you a good day.

Great post, I can relate to the dog reference, I have three and as you say they go nuts whenever I show up!! They are great guardians on the inner planes according to Stuart Wilde. I don't always click with your stuff, but you are pretty much mostly spot on and make me laugh a lot!! Thanks a million and keep them coming! Dave

I know people don't always 'click' with me and not infrequently. I say things that can be very polarizing. However, not to say some of the things I do would be dishonest and it would court a persona that was more concerned about being accepted than about the truth, which is not necessarily what I say and not necessarily what the reader says but somewhere between those perspectives and at right angles to everything else.

I have the fortune, or misfortune of people either really liking me or detesting me. There is not often a middle ground. It's always been that way. Some people become so angered by me that they engage in efforts to destroy me through legal avenues and betrayals of confidence. Every problem I have had with the law has come about because someone wanted to hurt me. And in each case it was someone I helped out and not insignificantly I might add. There was nothing I did to them to warrant any of it.

There's only so much we can do to change ourselves. Finally we are left with the essential of what we are and that is still not acceptable to some. That is something we have to live with and make our own personal peace with; keeping in mind that there are entities that will never be inclined to make peace with us because our very existence threatens their survival.

Visible, I am certain that dogs, and especially those dogs that come into our private lives, are mirror reflections of our strengths and weaknesses. They teach us lessons about forgiveness, compassion, maintaining dignity through adversity, and they will save our lives when called to duty. I have five and each one is unique in their ability to demonstrate the power of the subconscious forces that motivate humans as a species, and me in particular. For me, there is the communicator - the shrill and persistent voice of the pack whose intonations are easily defined, whines and moans about absolutely nothing quite a bit, but is always the first to alert to the presence of outsiders and to potential danger. The worker - hates to be indoors, needs a useful and productive job, could do without people altogether and live on her own in the wild. Smart and resourceful, she created a private clubhouse under our deck where she collects dead birds and chipmunks as a testament to her ability as a stealthy hunter. Pack leader - despite debilitating spondalosis (sp) and near deafness, never gives up and never, ever complains about her condition. Maintains her position through stubborn determination. Demands respect from the others through something known only to dogs and wished for by most humans. May outlive them all despite advanced age. Comedian and mood adjuster - receives psychic impressions of my feelings and moods, then adjusts his daily schedule of eating and resting on the sofa to make me laugh. Not a serious bone in his body. Could easily be reincarnated as an entertainer. The Follower - Not too bright, always the last one to catch on to new concepts, will walk around with a towel on his head long before he thinks to shake it off, considers it his responsibility to protect me from the unknown in every familiar room, but has a heart of pure, solid gold. Took it upon himself to be the doting mother of an abandoned kitten. Such is life, but a life without dogs would be dreadful.

Jesus Pam, you could have nearly just described our 5, except for any of them being old. Our Silky Lilly Nelson passed a few months ago. That was a test on all of us but I generally prevail with the understanding that they have gone to a better place. I've written these songs about several of our dear companions who shuffled off this mortal coil but I haven't been able to record them yet. There's been a hiatus on that side of things. But there is nothing more satisfying than singing a eulogy for them as deserves it and the muse herself accommodates the words.

Like I said in the posting. We only see as deep into other lifeforms as we see into ourselves. Why do people not get this? It is the gateway to all that is real, enduring and fascinating in our passage here

I got SO sick and tired of "going through the motions" that I pretty much stopped doing most things. It felt like I was in the middle of that movie groundhog's day. I'm in a holding pattern at the moment, waiting and wondering when the rest of my comrades might wake up and feel the same way. It's quite frustrating sitting on the sidelines. Maybe I shouldn't think of it as waiting because I feel as though I'm wasting precious time by being all angry at people because they won't (can't/refuse) wake up.

I've either got to MYOB or continue rattling more cages. I can only MYOB for so long.....

From Ethel Rowe and Norma Bright...

-"There are many forms of meditation leading to the awakening of the sleeping Christ within. There is no one way appropriate for everyone. Each person must find the way which appeals to his particular consciousness.

"All methods call forth that deep sense of humility which knows, "I can, of mine own self, do nothing." Satisfactory meditation requires a letting-go of personal selfhood with its egotistical claim to possessing a wisdom of its own. We must let go in order that the power, which we call the Father within, can take over. This power is within us, not within our body, but within our consciousness, Through meditation, we permit it to escape from within, that it may act on the without and become the savior to our experiences.

"Our objective is to develop a state of receptivity to the spirit voice within. In meditation we do not think about our problems. We turn within and wait, and wait, and wait. The thoughts that race through our mind does not concern us. We are not interested in them. We are waiting until we feel the activity of Spirit stirring within. If necessary, we must practice meditation for years. If we persist, the day will come when there will be an inner response."

-"Thoughts can be very powerful things. Faith, hope, belief, and expectancy are powerful therapeutic agents. Thought is the basis of all action. Every thought we think has its effect on every cell of the body - either for health or for disease. Anger, depression, hate, and guilt are vital actions, as are faith, hope, happiness, and kindness. They stimulate the life forces of the body positively or negatively."

(for the Gardener) - "Through mediumship, we have received communications describing what life is like in the spirit world beyond the grave. The accounts have come from people who dwell there and who describe their first-hand experiences. There are limits to what they can tell us because of their inability to transmit complete pictures of an existence which is super-physical and superior to earthly dimensions and limitations. Language is an artificial method which is inadequate to convey the totality of thoughts and ideas. The ideas and thoughts, being non-material, are greater than language, which is material."

and - "Unlike our world, there are no language problems in the after-life, for nationalities do not persist. Thought is the only language, and telepathy the means of communication. Deception, pretense, cheating, or lying is impossible. There are no secrets. Every individual is known for what he is - mentally and spiritually."

My dog, all 4.5 pounds of her, is the ultimate expression of unconditional love. She is fiercely loyal, forgives everything, and knows when I am not feeling well. She is so excited when I come home, and asks very little in return: throwing a toy for her to fetch, and belly rubs.

Love and peace,
~Clarity

thank you Visible you are an inspiration and role model for all of us. The serenity prayer has been my mantra my whole life -- probably because my mother repeated it constantly (I was one of those "why why why" kids with absolutely no patience whatsoever-- not a whole lot of things in life made too much sense to me -- still doesn't!). There were a lot of things her generation (the greatest generation) could have changed -- as a whole group that is. They kept their blinders on a bit too long, imho. Not their fault I suppose.

Guiltiness (talkin' 'bout guiltiness)
Pressed on their conscience. Oh yeah.
And they live their lives (they live their lives)
On false pretence everyday -
Each and everyday. Yeah.

These are the big fish
Who always try to eat down the small fish,
Just the small fish.
I tell you what: they would do anything
To materialize their every wish. Oh yeah-eah-eah-eah.

Say: Woe to the downpressors:
They'll eat the bread of sorrow!
Woe to the downpressors:
They'll eat the bread of sad tomorrow!
Woe to the downpressors:
They'll eat the bread of sorrow!
Oh, yeah-eah! Oh, yeah-eah-eah-eah!

Guiltiness
Pressed on their conscience. Oh yeah. Oh yeah.
These are the big fish
Who always try to eat down the small fish,
Just the small fish.

I tell you what: they would do anything
To materialize their every wish. Oh, yeah-eah-eah-eah-eah-eah.

But: Woe to the downpressors:
They'll eat the bread of sorrow!
Woe to the downpressors:
They'll eat the bread of sad tomorrow!
Woe to the downpressors:
They'll eat the bread of sad tomorrow!
Oh, yeah-eah! Oh yeah-e-e-e-e-e!

Guiltiness. Oh yeah. Ah!
They'll eat the bread of sorrow - everyday.

"The Nag Hammadi material contains reports of visionary experiences of the initiates, including first-hand encounters with inorganic beings called Archons. Gnostic teaching explains that these entities arose in the early stage of formation of the solar system, before the Earth was formed. Archons inhabit the solar system, the extraterrestrial realm as such, but they can intrude on Earth. Interestingly, this Gnostic insight accords closely with the view of Jacques Vallee, who maintains that ET/cyborgs probably belong to the local planetary realm. Vallee also proposes that the ET/UFO enigma is a “spiritual control system,” a phenomenon that “behaves like a conditioning process.” (Messengers of Deception). This is exactly what Gnostics said about the Archons: they can affect our minds by subliminal conditioning techniques. Their main tactics are mental error (intellectual virus, or false ideology, especially religious doctrines) and simulation. Archons are predatory, unlike a wide range of non-human and other-dimensional beings also know to the Gnostics, beings who are benevolent or neutral toward humanity.

"Gnostic texts use mythological language to describe actual events in prehistory as well as long-term developments in the human psyche. According to the ancient seers, Archons cannot access our genetic makeup but they can fake an intervention. Considering the confusion of humanity in modern times, a faked intervention would be as good as real. This typifies the Archon tactic of getting us to imagine and believe things that are not true, and to accept simulation for reality. In this way, Gnostics taught, these alien cousins can deviate the human species from its true and proper course of evolution. .."

Visible,
Excellent post. It's so refreshing to get back to the metaphysical aspects of our experience. My concept of the subconscious, and I think you allude to it, is that the sub... is a communications device, through which we have access to other realms. In computer terms, its more like a network connection than files on a hard drive. Religion, economics/politics, and science have combined to indoctrinate us, such that we have lost the ability to communicate effectively. Your musings provide guidance in breaking the indoctrination. IMHO.
Thanks, and be well, Visible and all, Rob

Vis, I will try the meditation again and try to find my Tarot cards, where ever i hid them.

I'm a cat person and they have been and are best friends and family.

When my Teddy died it was one of the most shocking and traumatic events of my life. He had been sick, blind and eventually could hardly walk. Perhaps we should have put him down when he went blind. Many times i longed for him to pass because it was difficult caring for him. We were both with him when he died and the second after his last breathe something in my heart ... the pain, almost as if something was torn out and my total anguish. There is no description and i was so stunned by the fact that how i thought i would feel was not relief, at all.

I cried for many weeks, every day, and then I went to the humane society and got Romeo six weeks later and he healed my heart. Romeo possessed none of the things on my wish list, except he is ... loving, affectionate and beautiful. He's also stunningly fierce looking and has a fantastic personality. This cat is all male. He's fixed but I have a funny feeling that doesn't stop him. He's in love with the female cat next door and even jumped in the neighbors screen window to get at her. She's fixed too.

This is probably old and familiar, but if not:

Why Dogs Make Better Friends [leaving out the gender references]

1. The later you are, the more excited your dogs are to see you.

2. Dogs don't notice if you call them by another dog's name.

3. Dogs like it if you leave a lot of things on the floor.

4. A dog's parents never visit.

5. Dogs agree that you have to raise your voice to get your point across.

6. You never have to wait for a dog; they're ready to go 24 hours a day.

7. Dogs find you amusing when you're drunk.

8. Dogs like to go hunting and fishing.

9. A dog will not wake you up at night to ask, ?If I died, would you get another dog??

10. If a dog has babies, you can put an ad in the paper and give them away.

11. A dog will let you put a studded collar on it without calling you a pervert.

12. If a dog smells another dog on you, they don't get mad. They just think it's interesting.

13. Dogs like to ride in the back of a pickup truck.

14. If a dog leaves, it won't take half of your stuff.

...return to regular de-programming.

Disciple: Jung believed that because there are so many subconscious factors governing our personality, we must awaken to them. Unless we do so, we are more or less slaves to our subconscious life. The point of psychoanalysis is to reveal as many aspects of our subconscious life as possible and enable us to face them.

Srila Prabhupada: That is what we are teaching. We say that presently the soul is in a sleeping state, and we are telling the soul, “Please wake up! Please wake up! You are not this body! You are not this body!”

Disciple: Whereas Freud was sexually oriented, Jung was more or less spiritually oriented. In his autobiography — Memories, Dreams, Reflections — Jung writes, “I find that all my thoughts circle around God like the planets around the sun, and are as irresistibly attracted by Him. I would feel it to be the grossest sin if I were to put up any resistance to this force.” Jung sees all creatures as parts of God and at the same time unique in themselves. He writes, “Man cannot compare himself with any other creature; he is not a monkey, not a cow, not a tree. I am a man. But what is it to be that? Like every other being, I am a splinter of the infinite Deity …”

Srila Prabhupada: It is also our philosophy that we are part and parcel of God, just as sparks are part of a fire.

Disciple: Jung further writes in his autobiography, “It was obedience which brought me grace…. One must be utterly abandoned to God; nothing matters but fulfilling His will. Otherwise, all is folly and meaningless.”

Srila Prabhupada: Very good. Surrender unto God is real spiritual life. Sarva-dharman parityajya [Bg. 18.66]. Surrender to God means accepting that which is favorable to God and rejecting that which is unfavorable. The devotee is always convinced that God will give him all protection. He remains humble and meek and thinks himself as one of the members of God’s family. It is a man’s duty to think, “I am a member of God’s family.” God is the supreme father, material nature is the mother, and living entities are all sons of God. There are living entities everywhere — on land and in the air and water. There is no doubt that material nature is the mother.

Disciple: Concerning karma, Jung writes this: “The crucial question is whether a man’s karma is personal or not. If it is, then the preordained destiny with which a man enters life presents an achievement of previous lives, and a personal continuity therefore exists. If, however, this is not so, and an impersonal karma is seized upon in the act of birth, then that karma is incarnated again without there being any personal continuity.”

Srila Prabhupada: Karma is always personal.

Disciple: Jung gives his own conclusion in this way: “Have I lived before in the past as a specific personality, and did I progress so far in that life that I am now able to seek a solution?”

Srila Prabhupada: As we have mentioned earlier, that is explained in the Bhagavad-gita [6.43]: tatra tam buddhi-samyogam labhate paurva-dehikam: “On taking rebirth, one revives the consciousness of his previous life and tries to make further progress.”

Disciple: Jung continues, “I imagine that I have lived in former centuries and there encountered questions I was not yet able to answer, that I had to be born again to fulfill the task that was given to me.”

Srila Prabhupada: That is a fact.

Disciple: “When I die, my deeds will follow along with me — that is how I imagine it.”

Srila Prabhupada: That is personal karma.

Disciple: Jung believed that one is reborn due to karma, or selfish action. He wrote, “If karma still remains to be disposed of, then the soul relapses again into desires and returns to live once more, perhaps even doing so out of the realization that something remains to be completed. In my case, it must have been primarily a passionate urge toward understanding which brought about my birth, for that was the strongest element in my nature.”

Srila Prabhupada: That understanding for which he is longing is understanding of God.

Disciple: Jung conceived of a persona, which seems identical with what we call the false ego. He wrote, “The persona … is the individual’s system of adaptation to, or the manner he assumes in dealing with, the world. A professor, for example, has his own characteristic persona. But the danger is that people become identical with their personas — the professor with his textbook, the tenor with his voice. One can say, with a little exaggeration, that the persona is that which in reality one is not, but which oneself as well as others think one is.”

Srila Prabhupada: One’s real persona is that one is the eternal servant of God. This is the spiritual conception of life, and when one realizes this, his persona becomes his perfection.

Disciple: For Jung, the purpose of psychoanalysis is to come to grips with our subconscious, shadow personality. Then we can know completely who we are. Jung says that in the shadow personality of all males there is a bit of the female, and in all females there is a bit of the male. Because we repress these aspects of the shadow personality, we do not understand our actions.

Srila Prabhupada: We say that every living entity is by nature a female, prakrti. Prakrti means “female,” and purusa means “male.” Although we are prakrti, in this material world we are posing ourselves as purusa. Because the jivatma, the individual soul, has the propensity to enjoy as a male, he is sometimes described as purusa. But actually the jivatma is not purusa. He is prakrti. Prakrti means the predominated, and purusa means the predominator. The only predominator is Krsna(God); therefore originally we are all female by constitution. But under illusion we attempt to become males, enjoyers. This is called maya.

Les Visible and All,

Thank you for posting about dogs today, as I had to help with the 'putting-down' of a dear dog friend today. Even though she was the stinkiest dog ever, with an English Bulldog face a friend could only love, I will miss her dearly.

This timing of this post was heavenly. I am sad but not traumatized, knowing she is without pain and continuing along her journey.

Well Les, I almost always "click" with you. Today, clicked again. I share your words and posts often. Not many find them as enlightening as I do. In many respects I see you as my "guru", if I had one. As Krishnamurti said, to paraphrase, you must be your own guru, own master, own teacher. That I am. Along with, that "other" part of "me". Dogs, resonates with me greatly. I live with 2 aging small dogs. Love them and am indebted to them for the great lessons they have taught me. Unconditional love, and forgiveness of anything. Although one will bite me if I mess with injuries, or at least will warn me by gently putting his mouth on my hand, and giving me a snarl. lol.

Thank you. Isn't nearly enough.

You've helped me out of my skepticism. At least partially. I so hope that there is a change coming, and that the enemies of humanity get their just desserts.

Namaste,
Erwin

Re: "A Message to Pavlov's Dogs"...

That "Larken Rose" video sent bells ringing in my OWN head - what with that strategically evocative background music and then the commentary about Hitler (associated with Stalin etc) being evil, while pointing out that those who helped the Jews to escape the Nazis are falsely assumed to be evil... Why couldn't LR have used any other of history's murderous dictators as an example instead of the usual "evil" Adolf Hitler...?

Subtle conditioning as always. Check out any episode of zionist Anthony Horowitz's "Foyles War" to find exactly the same subtle conditioning being used regarding the Jews being victims of gentile treachery.

On the other hand, check out various episodes of Colin Dexter's "Detective Morse", and find just the opposite - ie the registration plates of two stolen cars being driven by a psychopath who calls himself the "Close Disciple of Satan" - NKE and CHX respectively. (Heheh! Obviously Colin Dexter is no fool.)

Symbolism abounds.

I enjoyed your latest post. Yet what gets me is that all this talk of the great subconscious or astral travelling etc is something that is only ever read about in books written by authors who are no closer to actually experiencing any of it themselves than say any unassuming newt. Personally I'd love to be able to fathom my own profound subconscious or travel astrally instead of flying Ryanair etc., but it just doesn't happen in "real life". All that does seem to happen in "real life" is that I have to keep paying bills and finding ways of getting my hands on more money to shut people up.

If anyone who reads here can honestly state that they have full access to their own subconscious or can travel astrally to any of this world's paradise islands and have a cool beer whenever they feel like it, then could they please let me know, because I've never met anyone yet who can even remember a single "past life" let alone astrally travel to say Dominica for a decent two week holiday.

Why is it always like this? Why do demands for full and complete access represent denial that some number of us have gone to some depths within our own being? What has astral traveling got to do with the subject matter of the post?

The people who can accomplish certain things do not publicize their activities and in my own case, my ability to access the collective subconscious is amply demonstrated here in the sympathetic strings that vibrate to the common tone.

Anyway... not important i guess. People get out of anything what is commensurate to their investment of time and attention. Not getting this, one needs ask themselves, "How much time and attention have I actually put into it"? I think that will accurately reflect the degree of achievement in any life.

just nitpicking but Jung called it the unconscious, given that "sub" was an unnecessary and inaccurate term to add, and he called his brand of psychology "analytic psychology" vs Freuds pychoanalyses. (picture the authoritarian analy retentive Freud out of site behind (on top of) the patient, vs Jungs acceptance of relativities, comfort with unknowns and ackowledgement of projections and transferences etc).

" If I know, then god is not permitted to". not sure I get that one, isn't God complete? or is this god as the unconscious as passage to god, small (unconscious) self. similar to the quantum physics slit experiment of the 20s (that I got from Jung), the results are affected bizarely by the way the experiment is set up and what experiments preceded it (light as particle or wave essentially), even though this is not causally understood (by classical physics). so you think, and blink, things change. also (Ive mentioned it here before) Jungs take on Job (Answer to Job), that God needed Job and eventually Job got the "better of him" (though we are talking about the old testament knowitall).
anyhow, its been 20 years since I got my head stuck in those books and hearing Helen Caldicott saying recently how the world of manpower (and Fukushima) is, "I don't know", she was thinking about going back to Jung and figuring these archetypicals (my sic) out.
for me, I know it's all there and one day I might comit to it more directly (waking dreams, letting the autonomous voices through), regardless of the distractions.
meanwhile life as we know it goes on and there's things to do and progress, however glacial, to be made.

Good Day Les,

Great post. I'm glad that you brought up the relationship between the tarot and the Hebrew alphabet. In order to fully grasp the mystery of the old testament you must understand that relationship , for example the first seven days of genesis relate with the first seven letters of the Hebrew alphabet and the first seven cards if the tarot....Great post.

Vis, thank you once again for your thought provoking posts. And, thank you, for posting all the comments....they also are thought provoking and well worth reading.
I have three dogs now and four years ago one of my dogs passed away. Of course, it was heart wrenching but he had been suffering for some time with a collapsing trachea and was having difficulty breathing. It was agonizing to witness his attempts to get his breath back. I thought I would feel relief when he passed but instead I was overwhelmed with grief. The only thought which was of any comfort was that I believe he would incarnate as a human in his next life....he knew so much of human ways. Now, you might think that being a human is not such a great reward but if you think about it you will recognize that being human does have its advantages and in fact is a life form which allows for swifter evolution...as a human you do have choices...and a human rebirth is preferable if there is such a thing as enlightenment.
In having dogs or other pets in our life I believe it's our responsibility to show them, as much as we can, how to share, be kind to one another and to generally just be their loving selves. I really don't know what I would do without them!

Thanks Les, another fine and timely piece. I think others leave magnetic imprints on our subconscious, we carry with us, whether as is said, we are pulled to those we have known before in previous lives, I am of course not at all sure. But I can believe this possibility as it is logical, at least to me.

I think I enjoy Origami the best, although i have enjoyed the more political inspired mirrors at times, I am not sure there is much else to know now, the facts are all there to digest, if you can see them, I know many still struggle with this. I know all these issues still need to be said without an agenda, which you do, it is just for me, this is where it is at!

I find myself reading these lines several times to digest their multi layered content, and their meaning resonate and mingle with my streams of thought.

When I read this I feel a little sorry for Mr. Jung that he did not have the great fortune, the opportunity to hear and speak to Srila Prabhupada, his honest to God well wisher.

Disciple: Jung sees the mind as being composed of a balance of the conscious and the unconscious, or subconscious. It is the function of the personality to integrate these. For instance, if one has a strong sex drive, he can sublimate or channel it into art or religious activity.

Srila Prabhupada: That is our process. The sex impulse is natural for everyone in the material world. But if we think of Krsna embracing Radharani or dancing with the gopis, our sex impulse is sublimated and weakened. If one hears about the pastimes of Krsna and the gopis from the right source, lusty desire within the heart will be suppressed, and one will be able to develop devotional service.

Disciple: This would be an example of what Jung would call integration or individuation, whereby the energies of the subconscious sex impulse are channeled into conscious, creative activity directed toward God realization.

Srila Prabhupada: What we must understand is that Krsna is the only purusa, the only enjoyer. If we help Him in His enjoyment, we also receive enjoyment. We are predominated, and He is the predominator.

This is great!
Supreme metaphysics.

Disciple: Psychologists say that quite often the subconscious is acting through the conscious, but that we do not know it.

Srila Prabhupada: Yes. The subconscious is there, but it is not always manifest. Sometimes a thought suddenly becomes manifest, just as a bubble will suddenly emerge in a pond. You may not be able to understand why it emerges, but we may assume that it was in the subconscious state and suddenly became manifest. That subconscious thought which is manifest does not necessarily have any connection with one’s present consciousness. It is like a stored impression, a shadow or a photograph. The mind takes many snapshots, and they are stored.

Disciple: Jung goes on to point out the difference between theologians and philosophers. He writes, “At least they [the theologians] are sure that God exists, even though they make contradictory statements about Him…. God’s existence does not depend on our proofs…. I understand that God was, for me at least, one of the most certain and immediate of experiences.”

Srila Prabhupada: Yes, that is a transcendental conviction. One may not know God, but it is very easy to understand that God is there. One has to learn about God’s nature, but there is no doubt about the fact that God is there. Any sane man can understand that he is being controlled. So who is that controller? The supreme controller is God. This is the conclusion of a sane man. Jung is right when he says that God’s existence does not depend on our proof.

Disciple: Jung continues to recall his early spiritual quests in this way: “In my darkness … I could have wished for nothing better than a real, live guru, someone possessing superior knowledge and ability, who would have disentangled me from the involuntary creations of my imagination.”

Srila Prabhupada: Yes. According to the Vedic instructions, in order to acquire perfect knowledge, one must have a guru. Tad vijnanartham sa gurum evabhigacchet [MU 1.2.12]. The guru must factually be a representative of God. He must have seen and experienced God in fact, not simply in theory.
The Vedas inform us that a person can understand God when he has received a little mercy from His Lordship; otherwise, one may speculate for millions and millions of years.

Disciple: In 1938 Jung was invited by the British government to participate in celebrations at the University of Calcutta. Of this Jung writes, “By that time, I had read a great deal about Indian philosophy and religious history and was deeply convinced of the value of Oriental wisdom.” On this visit, Jung spoke with a celebrated guru, yet he avoided so-called holy men. He writes, “I did so because I had to make do with my own truth, not to accept from others what I could not attain on my own. I would have felt it as a theft had I attempted to learn from the holy men to accept their truth for myself.”

Srila Prabhupada: On the one hand, he says he wants a guru, and then on the other, he doesn’t want to accept one. Doubtlessly there were many so-called gurus in Calcutta, and Jung might have seen some bogus gurus he did not like. In any case, the principle of accepting a guru cannot be avoided. It is absolutely necessary.

Disciple: Concerning consciousness after death, Jung feels that after death the individual must pick up at the level of consciousness which he left.

Srila Prabhupada: Yes, and therefore, according to that consciousness, one has to accept a body. That is the process of the soul’s transmigration.

So, it's going ok.
He was going to come working with me, and we had some work lined up, he left school and then, the woman's father died whom we were about to start renovating her house. So she understandably canceled. This led to weeks without work as much as I tried, so the decision was made for him to go back to school. The day after he enrolled the phone rang, someone wanting about a months work. Go figure???

Any way a little catch up on that situation. Best wishes and good health to you my friend.

The Birth of Lord Krsna

Srila Prabhupada..

"As stated in the Bhagavad-gita, the Lord says that His appearance, birth, and activities, are all transcendental, and one who understands them factually becomes immediately eligible to be transferred to the spiritual world. The Lord's appearance or birth is not like that of an ordinary man who is forced to accept a material body according to his past deeds. The Lord's appearance is explained in the Second Chapter: He appears out of His own sweet pleasure.."

"Srila Prabhupada, Krishna alert!

Somebody really needs to explain to Srila about the
kama sutra"

---------------------------

The famous south Indian saint, and king, Kulasekhara prays in his Mukunda Mala stotra as follows:

O Cupid (Kamadeva), abandon your residence in my mind, which is now the home of Lord Mukunda’s lotus feet. You have already been incinerated by Lord Siva’s fiery glance, so why have you forgotten the power of Lord Murari’s disc?

Srila Prabhupada mentions in his purport to this verse, “Kamadeva is also called Madana, a name that means “one who attracts.” But Lord Krishna is known as Madana-mohana, “the bewilderer of Cupid.” In other words, Krishna is so transcendentally attractive that anyone who absorbs his mind in Him will not be troubled by sex desire. Furthermore, Lord Krishna’s consort, Srimati Radharani, is called Madana-mohana-mohini because She alone can captivate even Krishna.”

"But the bhaktas have discovered an infallible shelter from Cupid – absorption in the beauty of Krishna. One who is captivated by the beauty of Krishna is not victimized by lust.”

Iskon is tightly connected to the usual suspects and the illuminati. There is a lot out there about this if anyone wishes to dig a bit. The hare krishnas have admitted child abuse.

http://www.rickross.com/reference/krishna/krishna19.html

"More than 40 former students of Hare Krishna schools filed a $400 million lawsuit on Monday against the religious movement, alleging they were sexually and physically abused as children over the course of two decades"

My feeling is if someone is truly interested in the eastern religions they would be better off joining a temple. This outfit was just something A.C. dreamed up himself and used the Gita as a reference.

Nonetheless..

JANMASTAMI-LILA - is today

"According to the Vedic system, whenever there is an auspicious ceremony in the ksatriya king's palace, the king gives many things in charity. Cows decorated with golden ornaments are delivered to the brahmanas and sages. Vasudeva wanted to perform a charitable ceremony to celebrate Krsna's appearance, but because he was shackled within the walls of Kamsa's prison, this was not possible. Instead, within his mind he gave thousands of cows to the brahmanas.

When Vasudeva was convinced that the newborn child was the Supreme Personality of Godhead Himself, he bowed down with folded hands and began to offer Him prayers. At that time Vasudeva was in the transcendental position, and he became completely free from all fear of Kamsa. The newborn baby was also flashing His effulgence within the room in which He appeared."

Just as I figured, a pile of links some mention of the Illuminati and then, wooops, there goes the baby, out with the bath water.

Can you not see this is just more chin friction? Can you not see how this appears to be disinfo? Aimed at the dysfunctional leadership with the intention of damning the source so as to turn away those with good intent from finding a legitimate path???

You go on to bag out organized religion then advise to join a Temple?
Which Temple is free from the trappings of Kali Yuga?

In the words of Bhaktivinode:

"Our Sastras, or in other words, books of thought
do not contain all that we could get from the infinite Father. No book is without
its errors. God’s revelation is absolute truth, but it is scarcely received and
preserved in its natural purity. We have been advised in the 14th Chapter of
11th skandha of the Bhågavata to believe that truth when revealed is absolute, but
it gets the tincture of the nature of the receiver in course of time and is
converted into error by continual exchange of hands from age to age. New
revelations, therefore, are continually necessary in order to keep truth in its
original purity. We are thus warned to be careful in our studies of old authors,
however wise they are reputed to be. Here we have full liberty to reject the
wrong idea, which is not sanctioned by the peace of conscience."

ISKON has taken the words and left the spirit behind in a mad dash for notoriety, power, blah, blah, blah.

The Spirit remains in the countless Volumes left by Prabupada and those that went before him within this movement. Starting with Lord Caitanya and the 6 Goswamis.

You must go yourself. It is rare you will find a Temple in this age that will help you and unless you go yourself, How will you know the difference?

Bhakti Yoga is a legitimate path.

It is actually the recommended road for this time within this age, as we are very fallen and it falls in line with keeping things simple for the simple.

It doesn't matter a fuck which name floats your boat, names and "books of thought" are merely signposts along the path.
When held to too tightly, progress stops. When ignored you get lost.

When taken literally, well, you can see the damage that gets left in it's wake in your links.

Walk within the Spirit.

This Spirit can be found in Prabupada's books, so too can errors.

I am not troubled by sexual desire or lust either, I simply accept it as part of the natural order. In fact the entire order of creation is not troubled by it and do not exhibit shame, do not seek celibacy. It is only man who is straddled with the concepts of original sin.

In fact the creatures show a much closer type communication with the creator than man. This can witnessed by Geese, ducks, whales, the list is endless and they managed it without the nonsense of celibacy and whining over sexual desire.

You might want to do a google on dakini teachings. It is a good place to start. The abstinence, I can do this alone thing is all built around ego and mind control. You are basically saying I can unite with the cosmos by avoiding half of the cosmos, positive and negative energy. It is all bullshit from matrix controlled publishing company.

There is a difference between sex and tantra however. Tantra is in effect entering the great cosmic ocean with no strings attached. Whenever I hear someone quoting this mumbo jumbo about abstinence, I immediately think of the catholic church where it has worked so well or some phony like Prubhupada.

No thanks

Cap I can see no need for us to carry this much further. I do consider the eastern temples, Hindu and Buddhist to be much closer to the truth than most and most of them practice tantra although most monks never get near a dakina until at least a year there.

This is not from some yoga book as I have been fortunate enough through the years to have talked with many mahatmas. There is a reason why the east has produced many enlightened souls and the record in the west is almost zero. You have to break some eggs to make a cake.

In the end everyone will choose a path for them that seems right at the time, but bear in mind this also will sometimes change drastically. Everyone is doing the best they can as well as they know how.

I do stand by my assertion concerning the krishnas however. I can quote the gita and paint a blue streak on my forehead also, but it doesn't mean I know what I am talking about.

I had a job once where I spent a great deal of time around an airport so consequently I have had long conversations with these people and I came to the conclusion they decades ago they don't know what they are talking about but to each his own.

I grew up on a little dairy farm in the country and had no exposure to the Hare Krishna's or any one else for that matter, so when I first came across Bhagavad Gita as it is, after several years or looking into Buddhism I was captivated and touched on a level like never before, I looked upon that work with no preconceived ideas.
